You can apply for adult Indian passport renewal in Australia if you meet the following eligibility requirements:
- An Indian citizen aged 18 or over
- Living in Australia on a permanent residency, student, work or other visa
- Holding a passport that was issued either in India or at an overseas Indian mission

Renewing an Indian passport from Australia usually involves following a strict document checklist and working under the process set by the Indian Consular Application Centre.

Applicants who require a status update may contact the Authorised Application Centre or the relevant consulate directly. iVacs’ assistance covers the application process through to submission. However, if the consulate, application centre, the High Commission of India, the Ministry of External Affairs, or the applicant identifies a correction required to the application, iVacs will action this at no additional cost. iVacs does not undertake individual follow-up with the authorities on submitted applications.
